Purposeful Living: Daily Affirmations & Clues To Success

In the Purposeful Living program this week, we get some advice for developing daily affirmations and seeking clues to success.

Developing Daily Affirmations

In the first of two videos this week, Bianca takes us through some guidelines to create a routine of daily affirmations – positive statements, declaring specific goals in their completed state – that can have a powerful effect on you consciously and subconsciously.

“You need to let go of any negative thoughts and images, because they bombard your subconscious mind all the time,” she says. “What you want to do is introduce new thoughts and images that are positive and stated in the present tense.

“What daily affirmations do to your mind is like what exercise does for your body.”

“When we develop an affirmation, what you must understand, firstly, is that you have to do this every single day,” Bianca explains. “And using these affirmations interrupts and almost totally replaces negative thoughts and beliefs that we are bombarded with on a daily basis.

“To achieve this, you need to continuously flood your subconscious with thoughts about the new reality that you want to create.”

Bianca then takes us through the various steps that you can take towards developing an affirmation as seen in the slide above, before taking us though the guidelines below

“I want to highlight here that, when it comes to being positive, our subconscious mind skips the word ‘not’,” she says. “So delete this word from your daily affirmations.

“Instead of saying ‘I am not afraid of public speaking’, rather say ‘I feel at ease when I speak in public’.”

She tells us that emotions and positive feeling words are important to include in your affirmations, before giving us a few examples of the positive words we can use and what an affirmation looks like in its final form.

Bianca then gives us a small “homework assignment” again that we need to tackle this week, as part of our Purposeful Living Program.

Seeking Clues To Success

Week 4 is going to be a double-header for the Purposeful Living Program and we’ll be trying to find the clues that are left behind wherever you find success. This can be done by looking at people who’ve achieved your goals before and uncovering the clues they left behind.

“One of the great things about living in today’s world of abundance and opportunity is that almost everything you want to do has already done by someone else,” Bianca says. “It doesn’t matter whether it’s about losing weight, running a marathon, starting a business, becoming financially independent, or hosting the perfect dinner party… someone has already done it and left clues in the form of books, manuals, videos, online courses, or workshops.

“The first thing you want to do when looking for clues is to look for who has already done what you want to do,” she says. “And that includes looking at books.

“Say you want to become a millionaire. There are hundreds of books like “Automatic Millionaire” or “1 minute millionaire“, and they are resources that are available. Then there are resources on how to invest.

“For virtually everything you want to do, there are books and courses on how to do it. And better yet, there are people out there that are a phone call away that have already done what you want to do. They are available as teachers, mentors and facilitators that you can consult with.”

She also teaches us how to take advantage of these resources.

“When you take advantage of this information, you’ll discover that life is simply a ‘connect the dots’ game,” she says. “All of the dots have already been identified by someone else. So you’re not reinventing the wheel.

“All you have to do is follow the blueprint, use the system or work with the program that they provide.”

Bianca then looks at why we often fail to seek out the clues that we need for success.

“Unfortunately, what we do is we don’t take advantage of all the resources available to us,” Bianca continues.

“Now there are several reasons for this,” Bianca says as she takes us through the slide above.

Finally, Bianca takes us through our “homework assignment” for this video, asking us to select from one of the three options above and report back in Sunday’s feedback session. Next week we will be looking at how to stay focussed.
